Tristan is a young and ambitious fashion designer searching for independence from his family. When he meets Sunny, a charismatic hustler, he sees what freedom can look like. But Sunny has secrets. What begins as a wild and beautiful love story slowly turns into an intense trip between dream and reality.

Director Bio
Kolja Malik wrote his first screenplay at the age of eleven and was awarded various prizes for young film maker as a teenager. In 2018, his short film STORKOW KALIFORNIA opened the section Perspektive Deutsches Kino at the 68th Berlinale and was a part of the Short Film Corner at the Festival de Cannes 2018.
Director Statement
Firstly, LAS VEGAS is my attempt at understanding the origins of violence. On the other hand, I did not want to merely do a retelling of the real-life case this film is based on but turn it into an escapist love story. I didn’t want to make a calculating movie but a warm one – a dark embrace. One I can cry to without leaving the theater feeling sick.
