Genre: Romantic Comedy

In the maddening congestion of Mumbai five young men living disparate lives, share a common goal: to play football at Juhu Beach every Sunday. While each one has their reason to look forward to the Sunday morning, there's no doubt it's a high point of their week. One Sunday, as a result of the actions of a senile old stranger who joins their game, a ban is issued on playing games at Juhu Beach. The group now has to look for a new place to play in the crowded city of Mumbai.
More than just football, the film is about each of their lives and how each one deals with their own physical and emotional space.

It was his love for theatre that pulled MILIND DHAIMADE towards film making. But tough financial conditions pushed him towards a career in advertising. So 12 years and slightly better financial conditions later, he quit advertising at the height of his career, to pursue his dream of making movies. In the span of 10 years in advertising he has worked on the most iconic Indian brands, winning several national / international awards.
In 2010 he started Love and Faith, a films and design company along with his wife. Intermittently he directed television commercials while developing his film ideas. So far he has directed more than 100 TV commercials in India as well as abroad. In 2011 his short film “Prakata Het Yaad” won the audience choice award at Florence Film Festival and was the official selection for IFFLA. In 2015 he took his plunge to make his first feature film. Finally.

Director Statement:
There is no space in Mumbai. None whatsoever. And yet this tiny island city never feels small. And the people huddled on this island, filled to the brim, always manage to find tiny islands of happiness of their own. You Are My Sunday is about five friends trying to find their own little happy spot in this city. Against the backdrop of football (considered very lowly as opposed to the sport of cricket) we explore their friendship and their lives. It is a light comedy, based quiet a lot on my own experiences in Mumbai. My friends, and all the silly crazy things we did, fused, in bits and pieces, into the characters of this film. It’s funny and touching at the same time. The film is about hope and positivity that has kept me going all these years, helped me find love and also made it possible for me to make my debut film at the age of 45.
